Abayaforyou ("Abayaforyou," "we," "us," or "our") operates the online store at abayaforyou.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies when you visit the Site, buy from us, sign up for our updates, or contact us by email, WhatsApp, social media or the forms on our Site (together, the "Services").

Information you give us

• Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and shipping and billing addresses.
• Order information: the products you buy, sizes and colors, order totals, discount codes used, delivery instructions and order history.
• Payment information: payments are handled by our payment providers at checkout. We do not see or store your full card number.
• Account information: if you create an account, your login details and saved addresses.
• Messages and requests: what you share when you contact us, ask for sizing help, request a return, or reach us on WhatsApp or social media, including any photos you send (for example, of an item you received).
• Fit information: if you use our size chart or size recommendation tools, the details you enter, such as height, weight or usual size.
• Reviews: the reviews, ratings and photos you choose to post, together with the name you post them under.
• Marketing sign-ups: your email address or phone number if you subscribe to our emails, text messages or browser notifications.

Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, we and our service providers use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to collect information such as your IP address, device and browser type, approximate location (based on IP address), pages and products viewed, items added to your cart, how you arrived at the Site, and whether you open or click our emails.

Information from others

• Platforms and partners that power our store and checkout, such as Shopify.
• Payment providers, who confirm your payment and help us detect fraud.
• Social media and marketplaces: if you interact with us on Instagram, Facebook or TikTok, or buy from our TikTok Shop, we receive the information those platforms make available to us, such as your username, messages and order details.

2. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

• Process and deliver your orders, including payment, shipping, delivery updates, returns, exchanges and refunds.
• Provide customer service, including sizing help and replies to your questions.
• Run your account if you have one.
• Send marketing you have agreed to receive, such as new arrivals and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Show relevant advertising on social media and other websites, and measure how well our ads work.
• Improve our Site and products, for example by understanding which pages and styles customers find useful.
• Prevent fraud and keep our Services secure.
• Comply with the law, keep business and tax records, and protect our rights and the rights of our customers.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information only as described below.

• Service providers who help us run our business and must protect your information, including:
  • our e-commerce platform and checkout (Shopify);
  • payment providers (such as Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay);
  • shipping carriers and shipping-label services, which receive your name, address and contact details to deliver your order;
  • our order fulfillment partners;
  • email, text-message, browser-notification and customer-messaging tools (including WhatsApp);
  • product review, size recommendation and website tools;
  • analytics providers that help us understand how the Site is used.
• Advertising partners, such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok, which receive information through pixels and similar technologies on our Site to show you ads and measure their performance. Under California law, this may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. See Section 7 to opt out.
• Platforms you use to reach us, such as TikTok Shop, Instagram or WhatsApp, which handle your information under their own privacy policies.
• Legal and safety reasons: when required by law, to respond to legal requests, to prevent fraud, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Abayaforyou, our customers or others.
• Business changes: if our business is sold, merged or reorganized, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
• With your direction or consent, in any other case.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, understand how the Site is used, and support advertising. For details on the cookies Shopify uses to run our store, see https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the Site, such as the cart and checkout, may not work properly without them. Where a cookie or privacy choices banner is shown on our Site, you can also use it to manage your choices.

Our Site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for that browser, as required by applicable law.

5. How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. For example:

• Order and payment records: for as long as needed to meet tax, accounting and legal requirements.
• Account information: while your account is open, and for a reasonable period after it is closed.
• Marketing information: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep only what we need to respect your choice.
• Customer service messages: for as long as needed to resolve your request and any follow-up.

When we no longer need personal information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

6. How we protect your information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information. Our checkout is provided by Shopify and payments are encrypted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send full card numbers or other sensitive information to us by email, WhatsApp or social media.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• know and access the personal information we have about you and how we use and share it;
• correct inaccurate personal information;
• delete your personal information, subject to some legal exceptions;
• receive a copy of your personal information in a portable format;
• opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising;
• withdraw consent where we rely on it, for example for marketing.

California residents. If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), gives you the rights above, the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that require this right), and the right not to be treated differently for exercising your rights. In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information, from the sources and for the purposes described in Sections 1 and 2, and disclosed them to the recipients described in Section 3:

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

California "Shine the Light." California residents may ask us once a year for information about any disclosure of personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. Contact us using the details below.

How to make a request. Email info@abayaforyou.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." To protect your information, we will ask you to confirm your identity, usually by matching the email address and order details we have on file. You may use an authorized agent; we will ask for proof that you have authorized them and may ask you to confirm your identity with us directly. We will respond within the time required by law. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will explain the outcome of the appeal.

Marketing choices. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, stop text messages by replying STOP, and turn off browser notifications in your browser settings. We will still send messages about your orders and account.

8. Children's privacy

Our Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Links to other websites

Our Site may link to other websites and platforms, such as Instagram, TikTok or WhatsApp. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for them.

10. Where we operate

We are based in California and currently sell and ship within the United States only. Some of our service providers may store or process information outside your state or outside the United States.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and change the effective date above. If we make significant changes, we may also notify you by email or on the Site.
